        Kenya Uklili – This is one of the sweetest and most delightful Kenya Coffees we’ve ever roasted.  This Kenya Uklili has a very nice medium body with an enjoyable balance in the cup.  An elegant acidity as opposed to sharp intense acidity that we accustomed to from Kenya coffees.  This is not only a great pour over but a fantastic espresso, an absolute must try for coffee enthusiasts.

        Kenya Uklili which is also known as “Blackberry Queen” is inspired by Kiswahili, one of the most widely spoken languages in Africa. Prominant notes such as black raspberry, black currant, green tea and cranberry linger throughout the tasting experience, accompanied by hints of cedarwood that add an intriguing complexity to the cup.

        Nyeri is located in the Central Highlands and is known for its high-altitude coffee plantations. It lies to the west of Mt Kenya and produces some of the best coffee in the world.

        The coffee takes a rather long time to reach full maturity, contributing to the vibrant characteristics. The weather is cold for most of the year, with heavy rainfall and the region experiences two distinct harvesting seasons.

        Nyer’s unique environmental conditions provide the perfect ecosystem for coffee cultivation. The region experiences distinct wet and dry seasons, creating ideal conditions for the coffee plants to thrive. Additionally, the volcanic soil in Nyeri is rich in nutrients, imparting distinct flavors and characteristics to the coffee beans.
